Vielight Workshop Registration

4th International Brain Stimulation Conference 2021

What is this Workshop about?
Photobiomodulation (PBM) uses light energy to stimulate the brain. Recently, Vielight has taken on some important human clinical trials for different brain conditions including Alzheimer’s disease with PBM. Dr. Lew Lim, who leads Vielight, will discuss how PBM works, and will demonstrate how anyone can improve brain’s functions at home.

Dr. Lim will discuss how transcranial photobiomodulation (tPBM) affects the brain. Why it is the least invasive modality for brain stimulation and modulation, how it can be applied in practice, what we know about it today and how significantly impactful it can be going forward.

You have to be registered for the 4th Brain Stimulation Conference to register for this workshop.

The Workshop Date and Time:
December 7th, 2021, from 7:30 AM to 8:30 AM EST.

Workshop Presenter:
Dr. Lew Lim, PhD, Founder and CEO of Vielight Inc.

The Workshop Title:
Photobiomodulation in Brain Stimulation: Overview of Evidence, Impact and Potential

Kindly fill in your information to register for the workshop.

IMPORTANT: You have to be registered for the 4th Brain Stimulation Conference to register for this workshop. The name that you are providing here should be the same name that you used for the conference registration.

    What is Photobiomodulation?
Photobiomodulation therapy is defined as the utilization of non-ionizing electromagnetic energy (usually from red or near infrared light sources) to trigger photochemical changes within cellular structures that are receptive to photons. Mitochondria is particularly receptive to this process. At the cellular level, visible red and near infrared light (NIR) energy are absorbed by mitochondria, which perform the function of producing cellular energy called “ATP”. The key to this entire process is a mitochondrial enzyme called cytochrome oxidase c, a chromophore, which accepts photonic energy of specific wavelengths when functioning below par.
